Hey Kimmie! I read Vanishing Acts by Picoult and The Alchemist last year. I really liked Vanishing Acts. I don't think it was her best book, but I thought it was really good. I LOVED The Alchemist. I read it in a day....I wasn't sure at first. But, in the end, it made my top 10 of last year!

Hi Kimmie--some great books on your list. I read Mrs. Dalloway a few years ago and really liked it (once I got used to the stream of consciousness). After you finish that one, be sure to read "The Hours" by Michael Cunningham (its an award winner if you haven't put it on your list or read it yet)...
